The prestigious Great Science Prize of the Charles Defforey Foundation as been awarded this month to the six lead actors in the design and realization of the SPHERE instrument, among which our very own GRD members Jean-Luc BEUZIT and Thierry FUSCO. Following his postdoc position at ONERA/LAM, Olivier BELTRAMO-MARTIN is starting a new postdoc position at LAM this month. Olivier will now work for the ANR APPLY on the development of Artificial Intelligence techniques for PSF reconstruction and AO-assisted data post-processing. Congrats !
Also this month, several GRD members took part to the first (virtual) face-to-face meeting of the ELT Working Groups organized by ESO to prepare for observations with the ELT.
Also, this month the MAVIS Phase A document, in which GRD members have been significantly involved, was submitted to ESO, for an official review May 26-27.
Finally, a new publication from the team was accepted for publication in A&A. Congrats Vincent CHAMBOULEYRON !
