Doctoral Student Day 2023 took place in the LAM amphithéâtre on Monday July 10. The aim of this annual event is to introduce the new generation of PhD students to the rest of the LAM professional body. The day began with the usual group presentations, followed by brief individual presentations by the students. For the newcomers, these presentations served not only to outline the general idea behind their thesis work, but also to introduce themselves informally.
This year’s Doctoral Day was distinguished from previous editions by the inclusion of a poster session specially designed to be accessible to the general public, with the aim of empowering students to communicate their work effectively, whatever the audience’s scientific background. The award for best poster of the year went to Salomé Grouffal.
