Title: Probing dark energy and gravity models with galaxy and peculiar velocity surveys Abstract: Dark energy is a known unknown of our current cosmological model, needed to explain the observed accelerated expansion of the Universe. However, it is also possible that Einstein's general relativity is simply broken on large cosmological scales. Precise measurements of the […]

Galaxy Evolution Circle

Dear all, The Galaxy Evolution Circle will restart in a different format. Every two weeks, we will pick-up a particular subject. The idea will be to create a round table where we will discuss the following points: – An small introduction. – Classic and recent articles. – Active (LAM) people working on the subject. – Instruments. – On-going and future projects. – Perspective. For our second G.E Circle (28/Oct./15h at Mistral room) we propose to discuss Star formation in The WM and nearby galaxies. The idea is to maintain the discussion lively and informal. We look forward to have your presence in person.

Cafe-Club, Boris KALITA (Kavli IPMU, The University of Tokyo): “Clumpy galaxies at z > 1 in the era of JWST: moving beyond the UV wavelengths”.

"Development of advanced post-processing methods for the direct detection of exoplanets with ground-based high-contrast imagers" Join Zoom Meeting https://univ-amu-fr.zoom.us/meeting/84538326148 Thesis Abstract: “Current high-contrast imaging techniques have limitations (i.e., self-subtraction and oversubtraction) at short angular separations (i.e., <0.3"), precisely where most exoplanets are situated. It is thus necessary to develop advanced post-processing techniques to overcome these […]
